The Colorado State Prison Complex is in five distinct units for each security class of inmates. These are the Complex Detention, Youthful Offender System, and Pueblo units. The Youthful Offender System is a medium-security state prison for adult inmates in Pueblo, Colorado. It is a multi-mission prison with several buildings for different offender programs and safeguard. These programs include a basic adult education curriculum, treatment programs for substance abuse and alcoholism, the ‘Merging Two Worlds’ program that prepares inmates for re-entry into the society.
