Inmates at the Sumter County Jail are only allowed to receive mail in a postcard format. Further, these postcards must be typed or in black or blue ink only. They ought to measure between 3.5” by 4.25” and 4.25” by 6”. Regular letters are not allowed. But, the inmates can receive photos if they are stamped and addressed like postcards. After the housing assignment, all inmates at the Sumter County Jail are free to make call collect to their friends and family members. The receiver bears the full cost of such calls. In contrast, inmates cannot receive incoming calls.

Visitation

Every day, from 7.45 am to 7.30 pm, inmates at the Sumter County Jail participate in non-contact video visitations at the Visitation Center at 219 East Anderson PO Box 118, Bushnell, FL, 33513. These visits are by appointment only.
