The St. Petersburg Community Release Center, also known as St. Petersburg Prison, is a medium-security state prison holding adult female inmates in Pinellas County, Florida. The first one is minimum security confinement with 100-beds capacity while the second unit is 90-bed confinement for special management. Other facilities include a medical section, a maintenance area, a dining area, canteen, gym, and correctional industries. The St. Petersburg Community Release Center is one of the few state prisons in the United States using the latest technology in keeping the inmates, visitors, and prison officials safe.
