Inmates at the Ada County Jail are allowed to receive and spend money from friends and family members through their Commissary inmate accounts. Here, the sender deposits cash, checks, or money orders at the Boise Courthouse kiosk or the jail lobby kiosk. The check or money order should bear the inmate’s full names and ID number. Alternatively, the sender can make an online deposit through the link. These funds are credited to the inmate’s account, allowing them access to funds for personal items.

Each room at the Ada County Jail has a permanent telephone installation, allowing inmates to make pre-paid calls any day between 7 am and 9 pm. The visit is for a maximum of 30 minutes. Adults may visit the inmate in the company of children aged between 13 years and 17 years as long as they can show proof of relationship. Second, inmates can have a 20-minute, no-cost, non-contact appointment visit once a week. Here, two visitors are permitted at a time.
