The Pontiac Medium-Security Unit is Illinois’s largest maximum-security prison located at Livingston County, Illinois. It holds up to 481 dangerous male offenders that are challenging to manage. These inmates stay in close custody and segregation units for easier administration. Notably, Pontiac Medium-Security Unit has death row cell blocks and an execution chamber.
