The New Orleans Jail, located at the New Orleans Adult Detention Facility, is one of the local jails in the state of Louisiana’s criminal justice system. The New Orleans Jail allows inmates to receive or make phone calls to pre-approved friends or family members. These phone calls are limited to certain hours of the day, except for instances when the facility is on lockdown. All phone conversations are recorded. Visitation
Inmates at the New Orleans Jail can receive a visitation from their legal guardians, parents, grandparents every Saturday between 10:00 a.m. and, 11:00 a.m., or 1:00 pm to 4.30 pm. But, the inmate’s attorney, probation officer, or social worker may visit anytime. There are strict rules regarding identification, clothing attire, items allowed to the facility, and ban on smoking or carrying tobacco products during the visitation.
