The John G. Richards Youth Detention Center, also known as Columbia Prison, is a medium-security state prison holding adult female inmates in Richland County, South Carolina. This prison has two living units capable of holding up to 64 offenders serving long sentences. The first one is minimum security confinement with 100-beds capacity while the second unit is 90-bed confinement for special management.
