Sending Money

Each inmate at the Issaquah Jail has access to an inmate Commissary account. Through this account, the inmates receive money in the form of money orders to buy essential personal items from the jail’s kiosk. Likewise, inmates can receive an electronic money transfer via JPay or Western Union. The electronic money transfer moves funds to the inmates account almost immediately.

Phone calls

Inmates at the Issaquah Jail are allowed a call collect to their friends or loved ones from an approved members’ list. Here, the receiver bears the full cost of the phone call. Hence, the receiver needs to advise their telephone service provider about the expected call collect. This way, the service provider will not block the call collect from the jail. In contrast, inmates at the city jail cannot receive incoming calls.

Visitation

The Issaquah Jail allows members of the public from an approved members’ list to visit inmates at any time of day, subject to the jail staff availability. These visits are limited to 10 minutes and take place at the jail’s visitation area. Only two visitors are allowed at a time. Upon arrival, the visitors must present their photo ID that includes their birth date as proof of their identification. Persons below the age of seventeen years who wish to visit an inmate must be in the company of a responsible adult.
