The Milwaukee Women’s Correctional Center, also known as Milwaukee Prison, is a medium-security state prison holding adult female inmates in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin. This prison has two living units capable of holding up to 50 offenders serving long sentences. The first one is minimum security confinement with 100-beds capacity while the second unit is 90-bed confinement for special management. Other facilities include a medical section, a maintenance area, a dining area, canteen, gym, and correctional industries. The Milwaukee Women’s Correctional Center is one of the few state prisons in the United States using the latest technology in keeping the inmates, visitors, and prison officials safe.
