The Torrington City Jail is a type 1 correctional facility at the Torrington in Goshen County. This jail is under the supervision of the Torrington Police Office. All inmates at the Torrington City Jail have access to a Commissary account. Here, the inmates can receive money in the form of cash, check, or money order from members of the public. These funds are essential for paying for personal supplies from the kiosk. Anyone sending funds to an inmate should indicate the full names of the inmates and their inmate ID at the back of the money order or check slip.

Inmates at the Torrington City Jail can make 15-minutes long call collect to friends or family members as per an approved list. Here, the receiver bears the full cost of the call. Still, the inmate may use money from their Commissary accounts to cater for the costs of the call. Phone calls are limited to between 7 am and 7.30 pm.
