Inmates at the New Visions are allowed to receive and spend money on their personal items via their Commissary accounts. Here, friends and family can deposit cash, checks, or money orders via JPay, an online money transfer service. JPay has a mobile app to facilitate the deposit. It charges between $2.95 and $9.95 per transaction.

Offenders serving time at the New Visions can contact any of their 15 friends and, family members on the approved members list via phone calls. These are 20-minutes calls monitored and recorded by the Tennessee Department for safety purposes. The call can be via GTL or call collect. The recipient for call collect pays for its charges. Likewise, GTL allows callers to set up accounts and minimize phone charges. Three-way calling and call forwarding is prohibited.

Offenders serving time at the New Visions who show no aggression tendencies are allowed visitation from their friends and family members on a rotating schedule. Here, every hour, the Tennessee Department of Corrections alternates the inmates from different sections of the state prison to meet their visitors. Visits take place every Saturdays and Sundays from 8 am to 4 pm. Visitors should call the facility at 615-532-5470 and confirm the current rotation.
