An EFT is a fast paid money transfer service. Currently, the detention Center contracts JPay, GTL, and Keefe for the service. Funds reflect in the inmate’s commissary account within 1 to 3 days.

Checks via Mail
This option takes the longest time. It involves dispatching checks or money orders payable to the Tennessee Department of Corrections. The sender indicates the inmates’ full names and inmate ID at the back of the slip. Upon arrival, the checks or money orders go through a mandatory 30-day hold.
Phone calls
Inmates at the Riverbend Maximum Security Institution have an inmate telephone account and a PIN that they use to access the phone service. Hence, they are allowed to make call collect to up to 10 persons from an approved member’s list. The call recipient bears the full cost of the call. The call collect to business numbers is not allowed. Besides, call forwarding and three-way calling are prohibited.
Visitation
